SETUP -> Locations
Locations are used to identify physical places either domestic or international. Examples include orchards, coolstores, ports, or final destinations.
Note
Ports have very particular requirements for codes. Export documentation will require you to use official (5-letter) UN/LOCODES. These codes start with a 2-letter country code follow by 3 letters specific to the port (eg Napier port is NZNPE).
Warning
Pipfruit specific: Locations have a very important relationship to Phytosanitary Markets. The destination location/market for your sales determines the market access requirements for fruit on those sales. Although this is often managed by the coolstore it is fundamentally the exporter's responsibility.
